The closing day of activities related to Valletta being the 2018 City of Culture will be on 15 December, when various events will take place in the capital city.
After a year filled with 360 events, the last day will include more showcases of local artists such with talents ranging from spontaneous arts and crafts to live music.
Live music and a concert by local group Tribali will be featuring for the main event in St George's Square at 6.30pm.
The newly constructed museum MUZA will be open for free throughout the day, after a number of issues delayed it being opened to the public.
Parliamentary Secretary for Valletta 2018 and Consumer Protection Deo Debattista also announced the opening of a structure called the Valletta Cultural Agency, saying that "it would be a shame that the know-how and experience gained during Valletta 2018 will be lost".
Minister for Culture Owen Bonnici was also present, expressing that culture has now become part of the national agenda.
"This year has radically changed the way people participate in events."
