A green paper on the accessibility of government services through mobiles was launched this morning. It is more commonly known as 'Mobile Government.' The document was launched by Permanent Secretary Mario Cutajar together with the Executive Government Information Agency Chairman Tony Sultana.
The green paper will be opened up for a consultation process with various sectors of civil society, the private sector and public administration. The paper has been designed on a number of principles which incorporate accessibility of Public Services 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Permanent Secretary Cutajar said that the green paper will lead to a strategy which aims to provide a more flexible government service provision. This includes the introduction of mobile apps which will be available next March.
