Man stabbed in Hamrun, another held by police for questioning

A man was grievously injured with a pointed instrument following an argument he had with another man in Hamrun this afternoon, the police said.

The incident took place in Dun Frans Camilleri Street at 2.15pm.

A 42-year-old from Hamrun was stabbed by a 36-year-old man of Qormi following an argument. The aggressor left the site of the incident but later went to the Qormi police station, where he was held for questioning.

The injured man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was found to have suffered grievous injuries but is not in critical condition.
