Moose gives birth in Alaska car park

Shoppers at a hardware store in Anchorage, Alaska, were treated to an unusual sight  when a moose gave birth right in the middle of a parking lot. Local media said the mother and her calf rested for hours next to a parked jeep, though the little one appeared eager to test out its legs. With the moose calving season underway, local officials have warned residents not to get between a mother and her newborn, but rather to admire from afar. The mother and newborn eventually began to wander away but stopped once every few minutes to rest, local media reported.
