Two Italian men injured in Hamrun traffic accident

Two Italian men were injured in a traffic accident in Hamrun this morning, the police said today.

The accident took place in St Joseph High Road at 4.45am.

A Peugeot 106 driven by a 36-year-old Italian man, who resides in St Paul's Bay, was involved in a collision with a VW Passat driven by a 34-year-old man of Santa Venera. An Italian 42-year-old man was a passenger with his compatriot.

The two Italian men were taken to hospital, with the passenger reported to have suffered grievous injuries while the driver was slightly hurt.
