It’s fine to fine

The editorial 'It's a fines day for road safety' (March 24) was fine up to the point that it is limited to driving. However,the editorial may have missed the elephant in the room. Lawlessness and lack of discipline in everything that we do is prevalent on the island. Too many members of the public ignore rules, regulation and even the law predominantly due to lack of enforcement, favouritism, nepotism and habitual evasion, possibly even using corrupt ways. Malta needs to resume the road to becoming a serious country in everything it does and then driving will be good too because good... This article is part of our premium content.
