An immediate clean-up of Cabinet and the Office of the Prime Minister will guarantee the Labour Party another electoral victory, independent MP Marlene Farrugia said this morning. Writing on Facebook, Dr Farrugia said those who really loved the country and the Labour movement should refuse to remain part of the actual Cabinet unless this was cleaned up. "Colleagues, do not be afraid… Speak about your concerns in public as you are doing in private to ensure that the people get from us all what they expect. Because this is what we promised - an exemplary, clean and transparent government." Dr Farrugia said the Labour movement should not be allowed to break up because of the greediness of a handful of people who were also embarrassing their parliamentary colleagues. Cabinet and the Labour Party's administration, she said, should be cleaned from abusers today before tomorrow. "There are people who are capable of leading the party, the government and the country forward according to the democratic and transparent principles promised in the electoral manifesto the people voted for," she wrote.
