Malta International Airport has inaugurated flights to the Polish city of Poznan´, to be operated by Ryanair every Monday and Friday until October. Malta International Airport already has quite a strong network in Poland through flights to Gdansk, Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw. Poznan´ is populated by over half a million inhabitants and lies between Warsaw and Berlin, both of which are a three-hour train ride away. Ryanair has also introduced flights to Baden-Baden in Germany every Tuesday and Saturday. This route will connect Malta International Airport with the German region of Baden-Württemberg, home to the spectacular Black Forest. This popular tourist region was only reachable through summer flights to its capital, Stuttgart.
