The Nationalist Party today lashed out against what deputy leader Beppe Fenech Adami said was a concoction of incompetence and mismanagement at the Corradino Prisons which has led to the death of five inmates in the past three and a half months.
Addressing a press conference in the wake of another death in prison this morning, Dr Fenech Adami said that the situation at the prisons was deteriorating day after day and the government is completely helpless in tackling the issue.
Bad decisions have been taken, incompetent people have been appointed, and this has led to this worrying situation in our prison, he said.
