Palumbo workers at Castille, claim court case is endangering their jobs

Palumbo shipyard employees this morning walked from the courts to Castille in protest at a court case which they claim is endangering their jobs. Three Palumbo Shipyard representatives were arraigned on Monday after Senglea residents complained they could not stand the incessant noise disturbing their sleep any longer. The arraignment followed a criminal complaint by the PRO of the Senglea Residents Association. The case continues today. The 50 to 60 workers are currently gathered at the OPM's customer care office. They are complaining that their job is at stake and they are being ignored by the authorities. Their representatives are in talks with members of the Prime Minister's private secretariat, since the Prime Minister is not currently at Castille.
