Off-duty police officer intervenes between two men involved in argument

An off-duty police constable intervened on Thursday evening to break up a fight between two men at Ta' Xbiex, the police said in a statement.

In the argument, a 68-year-old man brandished a knife. It was here that the officer, who was off-duty, went up to the man and disarmed him until police from the district office went on site.

The other man involved in the argument was 65 years old. Both are from Msida.
