An off-duty policeman intervened and took a knife away from a man involved in an argument in Ta' Xbiex yesterday. The police said the incident took place at about 7pm and involved two men from Msida, aged 68 and 65 respectively. As the argument heated up, the 68-year-old started brandishing the knife, but the policeman intervened and managed to grab hold of it. The situation then calmed down. Police investigations are continuing.
