Malta Public Transport today announced the replacement of all tallinja cards which do not have the holder's name and photo printed on them with a card which has their name and photo.
Although the majority of tallinja card holders have changed their card to the personalised one featuring their name and photo, there is still a small number of customers who have a card without a photo.
In order to facilitate the process, holders of a card without a photo are advised to submit a photo online by visiting the site http://ift.tt/1TKqCUg. Once the photo is accepted, customers can exchange the cards without their photo with new personalised tallinja card at the Catholic Institue in Floriana between 6 June and 24 June from 07:00 to 19:00 (excluding weekends but including the public holiday on 7 June). This service is being offered free of charge.
The collection of the new personalised tallinja cards will only be possible as per the below schedule:
· Surnames starting with A to L - 6 June to 10 June
· Surnames starting with M to T - 13 June to 17 June
· Surnames starting with U to Z - 20 June to 24 June
All customers must bring along with them their ID card and their tallinja card (the tallinja card without a photo). Customers who uploaded an acceptable photo online at least 48 hours prior to visiting the Catholic Institute will be able to join the Fast Track Queue to exchange their tallinja card.
Those customers who do not have internet access to upload their photo will be assisted by the team present at the Catholic Institute, who will scan their ID Card or Passport photo when they come to exchange their card. These customers are being informed that they will not be able to join the Fast Track queue for quick pick-up.
